Hello Readers of PAWSM (Post-Ascendency of White Supremacy & Misogyny) Dispatches! This is a quick note on the aptly-named American HealthCare Act (ACHA rhymes with gotcha) recently concocted by the #1 collaborator and quisling Paul Ryan.  Yes, that’s right, a … Read More

The Beginning November 2016

The most qualified person EVER to run for US President lost to a venom-spewing pussy-grabbing ruthless-reality-TV-charlatan who proudly promoted racism, hatred, misogyny, and xenophobia.  Yeah, well… the woman never had a chance against the testosterone-toxicity of White Supremacy and Misogyny in 21st Century post-industrial America.

Fury and Out-Rage sparked these Dispatches From the War on Women. The battle to vanquish 21st Century Fascism must be led by women who demand their right to control their own bodies. Victory requires exorcising Misogyny aka Patriarchy.

In this space and place, we lift up our Women Warrior-Ancestors whose exploits over the centuries have been hidden from us. We also celebrate Women Rising in Out-Raging Resistance every day in every walk of life who refuse to be disdained, discarded, and denied. Adrienne Rich exhorts us: “The connections between and among women are the most feared, the most problematic, and the most potentially transforming force on the planet."

Raising Up Women Artists intends to reclaim the space-spirit-place that Patriarchy fears and destroys. Artists are Memory-Keepers, Truth-Tellers and Revolutionary-Sparks.  Jeanette Winterson says “Art can make a difference because it pulls people up short. It says, don’t accept things for their face value; you don’t have to go along with any of this; you can think for yourself. It gives you a kind of self-reliance.”

Truth-Telling means Knowing Our History and insists that the Out-Raging-Resistance-Reclamation must be inspired and informed. Angela Davis challenges us: “We live in a society of an imposed forgetfulness, a society that depends on public amnesia.”
